Hakuna Mama

When was the last time you went to Africa? Or you were given a free haircut? How about getting a new tattoo while jamming in the tropical jungle to funky beats? - All while watching your communities most talented creatives work on art pieces right in front of you! Coalesce Creative and Syd Workshops presents Hakuna Mama, your ultimate African desire.

This is the second installment of the "Mama" series, the first was a massive success and we have plenty more surprises this time round! With the support of The Bastin Group, GoodBuzz Kombucha and On the Island we have teamed up with some wicked local artists and Coalesce DJ's to create a platform where everyone can feel connected through music and live art forms.

We want a 'no worries' environment, a place where everyone can feel however they want to feel and express themselves for who they are. This is why we are supporting the amazing Sam- Barter Barber. Sam travels New Zealand raising awareness for mental health and particularly with men. Sam will be there cutting hair for the first hour if you are in need of a last minute trim- both men and women! We are supporting the Barter Barber with proceeds and offering a platform to raise awareness for his wonderful cause.

Gather your tribe, take a sip from the communal cup of creativity and join us to support our fellow tribesman The Barter Barber for an evening guaranteed to stimulate your monkey mind!

The evenings theme will be a Tribal African celebration, although dress up is not compulsory we do encourage you to add some tribal flavour to your outfit! We will be face and body painting and providing some tribal nic naks to get you looking the part also!
