TOTARA ST is an unrivaled, multi-functional entertainment venue located in the heart of Mount Maunganui. The facilities at TOTARA ST are used for a number of different events, workshops, and corporate functions. Having the ability to set the room up for an intimate vibe with 20 people, or open both levels and house over 400 patrons is what sets us apart from the rest. Founded in 2015TOTARA ST has played host to some of New Zealand’s most prestigious artists and entertainers. From hosting shows such as Hollie Smith and Head Like a Hole, to being readily available for birthday parties and corporate functions, the beauty of the space is that it can be manipulated to suit any event organiser's wishes. The room is equipped with a beautiful Martin Audio sound system, solid in house lighting rig, two licensed bars, commercial kitchen, mezzanine floor, and excellent sight lines to the stage. Whatever your focus is, our events team can tailor an event package to suit all the needs of your clientele.

Soul Roots Blues

After the sell-out success of Hollie Smith's North and South Island tours this Winter, extra dates in Hamilton and Tauranga have been added to her solo run. Soulful singer Hollie Smith will be taking her talent to the upper North Island this October as a continuation of her Intimate New Song Showcase tour that has been capturing the hearts of New Zealanders.

After a string of sold out events in the Bay Of Plenty.... DUELLER SOCIETY are back and stoked to announce their Labour Weekend Club-Doof event “DOOF OF THE DEAD" Ft. YVNG JALAPENO (AUS). This event will bring together darkness and colour with sound and light for a truly unique experience.

It's been a minute but we're stoked to be headed back around the country and across the ditch for a run of shows in November. We're kicking things off with our mates in Auckland, Tauranga and Wellington before heading back to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and then home to Perth.

To celebrate the release of our debut album, Bones ( Out Nov 1st) we are hitting the road this Nov & Dec with 7 dates arcoss NZ. We’re working on putting together some really special shows with some of our favourite DJs in support.

Kiwi icon's The Jordan Luck Band are packing the van and heading off on an NZ Summer Road Trip…from Dec 27th to Jan 5th the band will be taking all the classic Exponents hits across the country.

The illustrious end of term student concerts have grown into quite the spectacle over the years. From humble beginnings, the crowd is now 150 strong each show, and TOTARA ST comes alive with the hottest young talent the Bay of Plenty has on offer. Usual proceedings, but at times vary, see the centres awesome drama and theatre students take to the stage. After they have laid down their acting skills, the music academy students fly into what becomes a full blown, cohesive concert. For some students it is the first time on stage, for others, they have been there before. Performances are solid and smiles are wide!

Reggae Rock R&B Soul

For the first time since TOTARA ST's inception we have three back to back shows with the same artist. Almost like a mini residency so to speak! L.A.B are bringing some serious heat to the table this April with three sold out shows back to back. Hailing from the Bay of Plenty, the locals are coming out to play. Tickets sold in record time and everyone who snagged one is in for a very special treat, this band has been on a steady rise after releasing their first self titled album in November 2017.
