The bands and attendees of Loserpalooza had a reputation for being gigantic losers.

If you are reading this, then I like you and no doubt you like me, are a loser. But just because we can’t hold down jobs, only last mere months in relationships and still live in our parents garages - we shouldn’t be so hard on ourselves. We’re just losers is all…

So welcome to Loserpalooza 2021, New Zealands biggest loser convention. Featuring: 25 loser bands, over 12 loser hours, on two loser stages, at one loser venue.

Unlike our more “successful” counterparts - the winners… We aren’t in a constant competition to be the best. Lying and cheating our way to the top, stepping over and sometimes standing on those less fortunate.

No, losers stick together. We know our place and it is pointless to compete. No-one or thing is better than us, not because we perceive ourselves to be the best but because everyone and everything is equally shit. But sometimes we forget this and the pressure to do or be better gets us down. It shouldn’t, we need to remind ourselves and our fellow losers that we aren’t alone - we are all, losing at life…together. And together we can help each other to be better within ourselves and in turn help our wider society of plebs, freaks, duds, flops, deadbeats, wasters, failures to be happier within themselves.
