The NZ Music Managers Forum in conjunction with Creative Bay of Plenty, Recorded Music NZ, and APRA AMCOS have joined forces for an essential seminar for Bay of Plenty based musicians, managers, self managed artists and anyone interested in the NZ Music Industry. The seminar will be held in Mount Maunganui on Tuesday March 27th.

Over the last decade, I Am Giant have dominated mainstream rock radio in New Zealand and wowed some of the biggest festival audiences around the world with their melodic alternative rock anthems. And although they’ve had a phenomenal impact on their home country, I Am Giant’s journey is one that has played out on a global scale, with all the sweat, guitar fuzz, and onstage mayhem you could hope for in a rock and roll story.
Laying early claim to 2018 as their year, Australian rock duo favourites Hockey Dad drop their latest single “I Wanna Be Everybody” and announce a run of international album tour dates. Hopping across to New Zealand this March/April with Good Boy in tow, the tour will see anticipated second record Blend Inn brought to life following its release on Friday, February 9.
MauaoPAC Term 1 Student Concert
The illustrious end of term student concerts have grown into quite the spectacle over the years. From humble beginnings, the crowd is now 150 strong every show, and TOTARA ST comes alive with the hottest young talent the Bay of Plenty has on offer. Usual proceedings, but at times vary, see the MauaoPAC Contemporary Choir take to the stage first. Followed by the centres awesome drama and theatre students. After they have laid down their acting skills, the music academy students fly into what becomes a full blown, cohesive concert.
Nomad 'Can You Feel It?' tour!
To co-incide with the release of nomad’s debut album “can you feel it”, young indie-pop group nomad have announced a string of shows after their appearance at Homegrown 2018. Auckland’s Alae will be joining them on support.
The TimeLiners tour in April 2018 will see Neil Worboys, Maurice Priestley and Stephen Carlyle taking a ‘plugged acoustic rootsy bluesy trio’ version of previous incarnations of the ‘…liner’ lineage, so-to-speak on a clock-wise time-warp of the North Island of Aotearoa through the month of April 2018 revisiting echoes of the last 50 years.
Ska Legends Bad Manners bring their non-stop party down under for a Greatest Hits Tour! Very Special Guest is the rude-girl queen of ska-pop Jennie Matthias (The Belle Stars).
