In NZ Music Month special and hot off a national tour with Dragon, Hello Sailor are bringing iconic alt-rock band Pluto with them for their one-off show at Totara St. PLUTO’s multi-layered rock sound and dynamic live performance will add some early 2000s nostalgia with hits like Long White Cross, Dance Stamina and Hey Little.

Hello Sailor has been busy in recent years sharing stages with the cream of Kiwi music, playing to over 70,000 people alongside Hammond Gamble, th’ Dudes, Citizen Band, Anika Moa, Dragon, Jordan Luck, Midge Marsden, Stellar*, Gin Wigmore, Zed, The Chills, Stan Walker, Devil Skin, The Feelers, Jon Toogood, Shapeshifter and Blindspott. In June 2023 they supported English legends 10cc on the NZ leg of their Ultimate Greatest Hits Tour and toured with Nazareth and Dire Straits Legacy over the summer holiday period. In April 2024 they will be with Dragon on their national 50th Anniversary Tour A full sail plugged-in five-piece rock’n’roll band, Hello Sailor’s set will be packed with hits. Harry Lyon says; “We had having a great time at our gigs in recent years and it’s great to see audiences enjoying the songs we just love to play. We’re super excited to have Pluto with us too. They’ve always been a favourite of ours and when I saw them recently I thought they would be a great fit for the show at Totara St.”

Hello Sailor in 2024 is dedicated to the music and memory of Dave McArtney and Graham Brazier. The current line-up is as close as fans will get to the band’s classic sound, powered by the energy and attitude of Rick Ball on drums and Paul Woolright on bass. Harry Lyon has stepped up as lead vocalist with he and Jimmy Taylor taking care of weaving guitars. Stephen Small on keyboards and saxophone completes the package. Their shows feature Hello Sailor, Pink Flamingos and Graham Brazier favourites, hit songs from Harry’s back catalogue and his 2018 critically acclaimed hit solo album “To the Sea”.
