Closer: An Evening With DEVILSKIN
DEVILSKIN ANNOUNCE EXCLUSIVE INTIMATE ACOUSTIC SHOW
Celebrating a No.1 album and the Aotearoa Music Awards People’s Choice Award, DEVILSKIN are marking a huge year with something truly special - a rare chance to experience the Hamilton phenomenon from a brand new perspective.
‘Closer: An Evening with Devilskin’ is an invitation to connect with the band on a deeper level.
DEVILSKIN will be performing acoustic and eclectic reimagining’s of their biggest songs, deep-cuts, and beyond.
Fans will also have the opportunity to interact with the band through Q+A sessions and candid stories.
“We’ve spent years discussing something like this, but we haven’t attempted it before” says drummer Nic Martin, “We’ve tested the acoustic concept at our VIP experiences on past tours, but we’ve always dreamt of scaling up to something that feels brand new to us and our biggest supporters - an exclusive and special evening where we can connect to our music through a different lens, and share stories about Devilskin’s journey and the important role you’ve all played in it.”
Joining Devilskin after an epic run with them earlier this year, Tauranga’s premier rock-duo MIDWAVE BREAKS are bringing a special twist to their already-cinematic show.
"We had so much fun bringing the ‘full noise’ on tour with Devilskin earlier this year, so it’s nice to have another opportunity to share the stage with these legends, but in a very different setting.” says drummer Paul Russell.
“We’re looking forward to presenting a more intimate, paired-back version of our songs, along with a couple of surprises thrown in to match the occasion.”
SOPHIE-MAUDE is no stranger to the Mt Maunganui music community; the 22-year old singer has already collected over 350,000 plays, multiple placings in the Aotearoa Singles Charts, and performances/collaborations with the likes of Blindspott, Hollie Smith, and Christmas in the Park. Sophie’s acoustic set showcases her undeniable talent through a mix of carefully curated covers and vulnerable originals.
DEVILSKIN are promising a bespoke showcase of their musical prowess and versatility. Opting for an intimate atmosphere at Mt. Maunganui’s Totara Street, fans are urged to get in quick for this limited capacity, one-night-only opportunity to get closer than ever to the band.
