At Screw Loose ᴵⁿᶜ we are on a mission to represent many of the flavours of our wide, New Zealand electronic scene, whether we're nodding our heads to the unst unst, getting down and dirty to the dubstep, or bopping to our boybands.

This time around we're going to be getting a bit wibbly wobbly with two of New Zealand's most incredible exports. Join us on a ride in our magic schoolbus as we delve into the slightly insane, sonic world of internationally recognised bass artist Paige Julia, take a detour out to national treasure and multi-genre wizard Dylan C's swamp, before we take the bus on home and park it up with MSJOS in the (UK) garage.

=== PAIGE JULIA ===

Paige Julia is a creature that makes music for people who stay up late. While a well-known force of nature in Aotearoa’s underground bass music scene for some time, she is now being embraced by the global music community. She has consistently been invited to perform at festivals all over Europe and Australia and has released music with international labels: 1985 Music, Deep Dark & Dangerous, Drum&BassArena, Unchained Recordings, Samsara Beats, MalLabel Music, Forest Biz, Uncomfortable Beats and Totally Roasted. Her self released album titled “Morphling” won “Best Electronic Artist” at the 2021 Aotearoa Music Awards.

=== DYLAN C ===

Music speaks more than a thousand words with Dylan C, apt for a man small on small talk but who communicates fluently in melody, rhythm and sonic frequencies. He has developed his distinctive multi-genre approach since the early 2000s, dipping in and out of various musical scenes simply to keep things interesting. Jungle, halftime, 140 and moody groove, all sewn together with the deepest of rolling basslines.

=== MSJOS ===

An eclectic performer who finds joy in the weird and whimsical, msjos has been bringing wide grins and bass faces alike to audiences across NZ for half a decade. With an ear for grooves and an obsession with the odd, Joss is on a constant quest to bring pleasantly peculiar sounds to the masses with his multi-genre performances. Whether funk, house, glitch-hop, garage, bassline, slow chunky techno, breaks, jungle, whatever Joss is vibing is what he’ll play.

--- INTENTIONAL CULTURE ---

Our events are intentional - we are here as an alternative to the binge culture of the mainstream. Do take care of yourself and each another as taxis will be called by our friendly security team for those that cannot look after themselves. If you see someone that needs help or doesn’t look okay, reach out.

We also want to create a culture where everyone feels safe and respected. If you’re not sure about whether what you’re doing is okay, just ask. Be aware of the people around you and think about how you might feel if you were them. Sometimes people don’t want to hug you, don’t want pictures taken of themselves, or don’t want you all up in their personal space.

If someone says “no” it means "no". If it's not a "Fuck yes!" it's not a "yes".
