Switch Off

Feels like yesterday to some but it was a little while ago that Switch Off left New Zealand. The time has come: Switch Off returns to its homeland with fresh energy after a relatively long absence from the scene while we went to the United States to scope out the underground house and techno music scenes in Miami, San Francisco and Chicago.

The reunion will be at Totara Street, one of the best venues in the Mount characterised by its location, the outstanding quality-definition of its Martin Audio sound system, the acoustics and by its sound engineers and technicians.

Mateo St
Miami born and Argentina raised, Mateo is the creative visionary and founder of Switch Off. His ambitious dedication to his craft and love for the music has seen him being a part of the late night of venues in San Francisco, Chicago, Buenos Aires, Melbourne, Auckland and others. His performance will have you reaching for the ceiling. Underground house and techno music that come from within.

Bontempo
Wellington-born and Auckland-based Bonnie has been enchanting dance floors all over the nation with her captivating, high energy sets, that sway through a range of genres all encompassing her vast music knowledge. The last year saw performances at many of Aotearoa’s top events, some of which she headlined and sold out.

Jordan Rutherford
Switch Off regular and homegrown Jordan is also taking a break from Auckland where he has constantly been playing music and is now a resident on the decks of one of Ponsonby’s finest, Fitzroy Lounge & Bar. His performances never disappoint and his music is sure to raise the vibes and ease you into switching off.

Hooky
Local house music authority Hooky aka Sean Murray has been playing across NZ and Australia for the last few decades, headlining and holding club residencies in many cities and being booked to play most of the big events and festivals. Miss Gee’s own resident DJ has shared the stage with international and Kiwi legends across numerous genres.
